About Gene Brake

I love living in the Inland Northwest and love historic homes! As a resident of the Corbin Park Historic District, I have a special appreciation of the area and historic homes in general. Spokane is a treasure trove of historic properties, from turn of the century 1900′s craftsmans to mid century modern gems. I love the character and workmanship of a bygone era and believe in restoring a home rather than remodeling it. Are you a home buyer? If you are looking for more than just a house, but instead are seeking a home with a history and the character that comes with it, allow me to help you find the one that fits you just right. Are you considering selling your home? If you own a historic home and want to sell it, allow me to market it for the right buyer, one who will embrace the home’s history and find the next “caretaker” of it’s historic charm. This is about more than real estate. It is about your life and your dreams, I would be honored to assist you reaching your dreams. Different by design… I take a different approach to real estate, one that is built on personal touches, win-win transactions and positive results. I believe in taking care of you and being your advocate through the process. I utilize the latest technologies, market research and business strategies to exceed your expectations. More importantly, I listen and will find solutions that are tailored to you. Who Am I? Born in Houston, Texas and growing up in a small town north of Houston, I spent the first 25 years of my life in the Houston area, moving on to San Antonio, Texas for the next 20 years. My father was a home remodel/restoration contractor and my mother was a dedicated wife and mother. I am a father of 3 and grandfather of 7, who all reside in the San Antonio / New Braunfels, Texas area. Career moves took me to Dallas,TX for a year, then on to Seattle, WA for seven, Washington, DC for six and now finally in Spokane, WA. After serving in management positions of Customer Care operations for the past 30 years, for companies such as AT&T, Southwestern Bell Telephone, Time Warner Cable and finally with Starbucks HQ in Seattle, I’ve retired from working for big corporations and am now working directly with those I serve. My public and personal life for the past 30 years has been dedicated to helping people. From volunteering in my neighborhood civic association, or for the American Cancer Society, or my local AIDS hospice, to leading teams of employees, dedicated to assisting customers, through the red tape of major corporations, my goal has been to care for people. I realized just how important the relationship between the buyer/seller and broker/agent really was, so I decided to become a Realtor. You don’t want someone to sell you a house, you want someone to help you find your home. That’s not something anyone can pick out for you, this isn’t just a home, it’s your home and my job is to help you find the one right for you and your family. You see, I’m still in customer service, but my focus is now you and your home search. When you’re making one of the biggest investments in your life, don’t put yourself in the hands of a sales person. Let a Real Estate professional, who is skilled in the art of Customer Service work with you through the home buying process. The road to home ownership, doesn’t have to be paved with headaches, there is another way…. call me today. eXp Realty 601 W 1st Ave, Ste 1400 Spokane, WA 99201 Equality is a way of life for me and I fully support the National Association of Realtors Code of Ethics and am committed to live these high ethical standards to support ALL of my community: “REALTORS® shall not deny equal professional services to any person for reasons of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
